Role Overview
The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading strategic land use planning projects and supporting planning scheme amendments that shape the city's future growth while respecting its natural and cultural heritage values.
* Conduct research and contribute to land use planning reviews aligned with contemporary urban trends.
* Support project management approaches for significant urban development projects.
* Prepare submissions on draft legislation, statutory instruments, and regional land use strategies.
* Provide advice to the public and developers on planning scheme amendment processes.
* Compile reports and recommendations for stakeholders and formulate evidence-based submissions to relevant authorities.
The successful candidate will possess a degree in Planning or a related field, accompanied by experience in land use planning and policy review. Proficiency in planning schemes, legislation, and policy frameworks is also essential.
