The Role
As a Driller's Offsider, you'll work side-by-side with experienced drillers in remote FIFO locations. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role that plays a critical part in safe and efficient drilling operations.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
* Assist the Driller in daily drilling operations, including equipment setup and maintenance
* Handle heavy tools and equipment, including rods, core trays, and drilling materials
* Operate support vehicles and machinery essential to site operations
* Maintain a clean and safe worksite, ensuring compliance with strict safety standards
* Retrieve and manage core samples, including handling, labelling, and preparing samples for geological analysis
* Follow safety procedures at all times, protecting yourself and your crew in high-risk environments

* Rostered FIFO work (typically 2 weeks on / 1 week off)
What You'll Need
* Either Permanent residency or Citizenship. Unfortunately, we cannot accept working holiday visas for this role.
* Point of hire is Perth. You must reside in Western Australia.
* A valid Manual Drivers' Licence (this is a must).
* A great work ethic and resilience. This is not your average 9-to-5. These are 12 hour days of hard yakka.
* The ability to work in remote and challenging environments. This could be intense heat and/or humidity.
* A strong level of fitness. You\'ll need it, and it will almost certainly be the hardest job you\'ve done.
* A can-do attitude and a commitment to safety.
