About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role will play a key part in managing financial reporting, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic insights to support business decision‐making.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
* Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and regulatory requirements
* Manage general ledger, reconciliations, and month‐end processes
* Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
* Oversee tax compliance including BAS, GST, and payroll tax
* Support external audits and liaise with auditors
* Mentor junior accounting staff and review their work
* Identify process improvements and implement best practices
About You
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
* CA/CPA qualified or working towards (with CPA Australia or Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand)
* 4+ years' experience in public practice or commercial accounting
* Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations
* Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB)
* Excellent analytical and problem‐solving abilities
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Highly Regarded
* Experience in a mid‐tier or Big 4 accounting firm
* Knowledge of financial systems implementation or process automation
* Experience supervising or mentoring staff
