We are seeking experienced Carpenters to join our team, working across a range of commercial construction projects. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-performing team delivering quality carpentry works in a fast-paced and professional environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Carry out all carpentry works in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and construction schedules.
* Measure, mark, cut, shape, and prepare materials accurately using hand tools, power tools, and machinery to meet required specifications.
* Assemble, install, erect, and repair frameworks, formwork, cabinets, doors, windows, flooring, ceilings, wall linings, trim, and other structural and finishing elements.
* Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans to determine layouts, dimensions, materials, and installation methods.
* Verify the trueness and alignment of structures using levels, plumb bobs, and measuring instruments to ensure high-quality workmanship.
* Identify, remove, repair, or replace damaged or defective components of structures and finishes as required.
* Follow all workplace health and safety requirements, including safe handling of tools, equipment, materials, and hazardous substances, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
* Erect and dismantle scaffolding, ladders, and access systems safely for work at heights.
* Select, order, and manage timber and other materials efficiently to support uninterrupted workflow.
* Complete finishing tasks such as sanding, patching, painting preparation, panelling installation, and surface treatments to a high standard.
* Construct formwork, chutes, and related structures for concrete pours, and perform minor concrete mixing, plumbing, or welding tasks as required.
* Liaise with subcontractors and other trades (e.g. electrical, plumbing, HVAC) to coordinate works and resolve site-related issues.
* Maintain accurate records, document completed works and provide progress reports and cost estimates when required.
* Inspect completed works, fixtures, and finishes to identify defects or damage and take corrective action.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE
* Demonstrated experience working as a qualified carpenter across commercial or mixed-use construction projects.
* Strong competency using carpentry hand tools, power tools, woodworking machinery, and measuring instruments.
* Ability to confidently read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
* Commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship with precision and consistency.
* Sound understanding of workplace health and safety practices, including working at heights and handling hazardous materials.
* Ability to identify issues on site and implement practical, effective solutions.
* Well-organised with the ability to manage time effectively and meet project deadlines.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with site managers, supervisors, subcontractors, and other trades.
