Lead complex digital procurement for a high‑value government program. Support delivery of major digital capability and digital economy initiatives across Queensland.
Your new role
You will drive and manage end‑to‑end strategic procurement for a significant program of work. You will lead sourcing, negotiation support, commercial analysis and contract establishment. You will work closely with project teams, commercial specialists, probity advisors and legal advisors to support negotiation readiness, due diligence and commercial assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead market assessments, sourcing, evaluation, negotiation support and contract establishment or variations.
* Provide timely strategic advice on procurement and contract processes, including QITC contractual matters.
* Set the procurement scope for services, infrastructure and managed services.
* Draft and finalise Strategic Procurement Plans, value‑for‑money assessments and probity requirements.
* Work with governance committees and senior stakeholders.
* Maintain full probity, audit traceability and documentation.
* Prepare briefings, presentations and commercial reports.
* Manage daily issues and risks in sensitive commercial environments.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will have:
* Experience delivering complex, high‑value procurement in government or regulated sectors.
* Strong commercial skills, including contract and pricing analysis.
* Strong relationship skills with senior executives, suppliers, SMEs, probity and legal teams.
* Knowledge of QITC or similar contracting frameworks.
* Knowledge of QPP or equivalent frameworks.
* A Diploma of Procurement and Contract Management (Level 3) or equivalent will help.
