Service Technician Permanent role Day shift hours Overseas Travel Specialist tools and equipment Dandenong South Location The Company: Our client is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Technical Services Technician to support the maintenance, repair and customer support of industry-leading lighting control and power distribution products. The majority of the work is performed in-house with occasional travel overseas and to client sites. You'll work with products like Avolites lighting controllers, dimmer racks and data / power distribution units. This is a key role in their Control Systems team — perfect for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with cutting-edge tech, and delivering top-tier customer service. The position requirements include but are not limited to: Diagnose, service, and repair: Avolites lighting consoles, Dimmer racks, Power and data distribution equipment Prepare and test products before dispatch Provide phone and email support to clients, offering technical advice and troubleshooting Maintain a clean, organised, and professional service workspace Adhere to internal processes and documentation standards Support Quality Assurance by testing production units when required Comply with all workplace safety and fire protection procedures To be considered for this role you will ideally possess the following: Relevant trade qualifications (e.g. mechatronics, electronics, electrical) Proven experience in a technical service or repair role ( preferred ) Excellent fault-finding abilities and high attention to detail Strong verbal and written communication skills Friendly, helpful and committed to providing outstanding customer support Experience in the entertainment industry, especially with lighting control systems and moving lights, is a strong advantage Valid passport and ability to travel freely to the UK and Europe Hours & Rates: 6am start time but flexible start and finish times. $70k to $80k PA negotiable with Super We request that candidates have full Australian working rights.
