About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned
S26
Mechanical Supervisor
to join our Port Hedland residential team. Working closely with a skilled Superintendent, you will provide oversight to approximately 150 personnel across multiple sites and disciplines. Activities span fixed plant maintenance, structural remediation, brownfield operational construction, marine works, deconstruction, repairs, fabrication, boilermaking, and scaffolding.
This position requires diplomacy, tenacity, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team including boilermakers, fitters, scaffolders, crane operators, and riggers
Build and maintain strong client relationships, including quoting, tendering, and promoting win-win outcomes
Provide expert technical advice and champion industry best practice
Strategically plan and prioritise complex work fronts across multiple projects
Ensure all workers implement effective control measures to minimise health and safety risks
Report incidents, non-conformances, and near-misses; participate in investigations where required
Collaborate with project engineers, managers, and multidisciplinary stakeholders
Conduct prestart meetings, toolbox talks, and contribute to a proactive safety culture
About You
Mechanical Trade Certificate
S26 Qualifications (Mandatory)
Previous mine site experience
Current driver's licence
Working at Heights
Confined Space Entry
Solid understanding of mechanical works across varied scopes
Commitment to safety and adherence to site policies and procedures
