Customer Service & Administration AssistantLocated in Bondi Junction, La La Land is a small creative lifestyle brand that strives to inspire happiness and creativity through its large range of greeting cards, homewares, and giftware.We have an exciting opportunity available to join our creative team on a full-time permanent basis as a Procurement Officer.The Procurement Officer will report directly to our Procurement Manager and work closely with different departments in the organisation, including the directors.The Key Responsibilities:Ensuring purchase orders are completed to relevant commercial standards, within the required time frame, and according to optimal stock levels.Coordinating the new product development process, from beginning to end.
Ensuring all new items are sampled in time and to the highest standards of quality.Ensuring all new samples are distributed to all stakeholders (Sales agents, Marketing manager, buyers, Licensors etc) in a timely manner.Ensuring the company's internal control documents for the launches of our new products are always up to date.Coordinate national and international logistics and the receiving of overseas stock with our external 3PL and our internal Warehouse coordinator.
Entering Freight Forwarder bills and arranging payment.Coordinating the ad-hoc stock issues with 3PL from time to time.Providing timely and accurate information on product availability, delivery time estimates, purchase order delivery dates, status updates, and other general enquiries.Uploading new product information into Netsuite (a cloud-based business software suite) and creating order forms and submissions on Excel.Daily maintenance of purchasing and inventory parameters.Support in planning and inventory control activities in accordance with company policy and practice.Reporting is required.Skills and Experience:The ideal candidate will have either a relevant certificate in procurement and supply chain management or a bachelor's degree in business management, purchasing, warehousing, accounting, or a related field that can provide a solid foundation.Knowledge of stock management, import shipping, customs processes, and duties.Advanced Excel skills are essential.Detail-oriented and highly organised is a must for this role.Able to work independently as well as part of a team.4+ years in similar positions in procurement, logistics, supply management in the manufacturing sector.Come from a background in retail and wholesale is preferred, but not a must.Have a strategic mindset with strong problem-solving skills.Be a strong communicator across all levels of stakeholders, internal and external.Mandarin speaking is highly regarded but not essential.What's in it for you?Working for the leading gifting and homewares brand in Australia that supplies Myers, Peter Alexander, Australia Post and hundreds of small boutique gift shops across Australia and New Zealand.Working for a fast-growing, fun, and creative industry in a small business environment.Easy access office based in our Bondi Junction, Sydney Office.Salary package 75-90K plus Super (depending on experience)Social gatherings and activities and a great work culture and environment.Yearly allowance for personal orders of your favourite products from our collections.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeIndustriesManufacturing
