Job Overview

As a Senior Compliance Obligations Specialist, you will drive a major project to uplift HESTA's compliance obligations management, leveraging your deep superannuation compliance expertise and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

* Autonomously deliver complex project activities.
* Conduct expert superannuation compliance analysis to identify gaps and weaknesses in the documented control environment.
* Proactively engage HESTA senior leaders to validate outcomes and identify agreed actions to address gaps.
* Manage data uploads into HESTA's GRC system.
* Establish ongoing action-monitoring mechanisms to track actions and keep executive teams updated on important progress metrics.
* Maintain and enhance the Obligations Register.
* Provide expert compliance guidance, including:
o Deliver expert compliance advice on HESTA's compliance plans and obligation interpretation.
o Collaborate with the Compliance team to ensure aligned positions on technical matters.
o Support effective change management to ensure embedment of intended business practices.

Qualifications

* At least 7 years' experience in compliance roles, ideally in superannuation or APRA-regulated financial services organisations.
* Undergraduate qualifications in commerce or a relevant discipline (or equivalent work experience).
* Proven experience advising business teams on compliance requirements.
* Strong track record of building relationships with stakeholders from executive to individual contributors.
* Demonstrated ability to deliver quality outcomes under time pressure.
* Experience reporting to executive, board and regulator audiences.
* Deep knowledge of regulatory compliance in the superannuation industry.
* Expertise in compliance assurance and program implementation.
* Proficiency with GRC software (RSA Archer experience highly valued).
* Strong data validation and analytical dashboard capabilities.
* Compliance reporting expertise.
