CMATS Training Support Instructor
We are seeking a skilled CMATS Training Support Instructor to join our team. As a CMATS Training Support Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training solutions to support the CMATS project.
The ideal candidate will have experience configuring Air Traffic Management systems and working with simulation datasets. They will also possess knowledge of ATM simulator platforms, including troubleshooting and performance requirements. Intermediate skills in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, are also required.
This role involves providing training and support to personnel who perform simulation configuration, dataset adaptation, and exercise preparation and training management activities in support of CMATS.
You will work closely with the CMATS Training Team to deliver training and maintain materials. You will also facilitate evaluation and ensure that the CMATS training solution meets or exceeds the project objectives.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will need excellent communication and leadership skills to supervise and control CMATS training and simulation activities.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of a harmonized Civil/Military Air Traffic Management System (CMATS / OneSKY) in Australia.
* Data Management Functions: Managing TopSky-NG adaptation datasets for ATC and simulation purposes, Voice Control System datasets, validation, and maintenance following software upgrades.
* Leader Functions: Supervising and controlling CMATS training and simulation activities, including planning and session control.
* Pseudo Pilot/Leader Functions: Operating the Pseudo Pilot function to support training and controlling session parameters.
You will also work as part of the Thales CMATS Training Team through various phases:
* Analysis and Design: Analyzing training requirements, designing management and curriculum, developing draft packages.
* Development: Developing courseware, datasets, exercise scenarios, and facilitating training at the CTA.
* Implementation: Delivering training, maintaining materials, and facilitating evaluation.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Australian Citizenship to gain defence security clearance.
* Experience configuring Air Traffic Management systems and working with simulation datasets.
* Knowledge of ATM simulator platforms, including troubleshooting and performance requirements.
* Intermediate skills in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
* Experience developing aviation simulation exercises for training environments.
