About the Opportunity\

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Database Administration Assistant to support the compilation and management of geological databases across our Exploration and Operations divisions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow professionally and progress toward a Geological Database Administrator role.

Key Responsibilities
\

1. Assist and collaborate closely with geologists and site personnel to validate and maintain accurate geological data.
\
2. Monitor data flow from remote sites and distribute regular validation and status updates.
\
3. Support the integration of exploration and mining data into the company's geological database.
\
4. Help maintain and monitor geological databases, ensuring consistency and integrity.
\
5. Provide user support and training to geologists and other team members.
\
6. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
\
7. Assist with configuration of geological software tools such as LogChief.
\
8. Contribute to workflow development and procedural documentation.
\
9. Identify opportunities for process improvement and provide data management insights.

What You'll Bring
\
\
10. Tertiary qualifications in Geology, Geoscience, or IT is desirable, with relevant experience in mining or exploration.
\
11. At least 1 year of experience using geological database software such as DataShed (preferred), Geobank, or acQuire.
\
12. Competency in data capture and database tools (e.g., LogChief, Access, SQL).
\
13. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
\
14. Excellent numerical, written, and verbal communication skills.
\
15. Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
\
16. Experience with GIS software (MapInfo, QGIS, or ArcGIS) is desirable but not essential.
\
17. Experience with report writing tools such as Power BI is beneficial.
\
18. A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the role.
