The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including architecture, cyber assurance, and regional technical officers to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performance satellite communications.
Note: A minimum current active (NV2) security clearance is required for this role (no exceptions).

Essential criteria
1.Demonstrated experience (5+ years) in satellite communications engineering, including GEO and NGSO systems.
2.Strong understanding of RF and microwave communication systems, including design, testing, and optimisation.
3.Demonstrated experience in planning and implementing high-availability WAN services, including satellite-based connectivity solutions that ensure reliable and resilient communications across geographically dispersed locations.
4.Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation, including high-level designs and maintenance plans.
5.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
6.Willingness and ability to travel regularly to geographically dispersed Posts and remote locations as required for system deployment, maintenance, and support activities.
Desirable criteria
1.Experience supporting government or defence satellite communications projects.
2.Ability to mentor or provide technical guidance to junior engineers or field technicians.

Pay: $140.00 – $160.00 per hour
