Principal Lawyer / Director for Full Service law Firm Based in Victoria About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Principal Lawyer to take on a leadership role in establishing and growing a new full-service law firm in Victoria.
This is a unique opportunity to join as a Director of the firm, working closely with the founders to build a high-performing and reputable legal practice. You will play a key role in shaping the firm's strategy, culture, and long-term success.
You will work across a diverse range of legal matters, including:
* Criminal Law
* Family Law
* Litigation
* Property & Conveyancing
* Commercial Law
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the firm's legal operations and day-to-day activities
* Supervise, mentor and develop junior lawyers and support staff
* Manage complex legal matters and represent clients in court
* Provide practical, solutions-focused legal advice
* Draft, review and negotiate legal documents, contracts and agreements
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory and professional obligations in Victoria
* Build and maintain strong client relationships
* Contribute to business development and growth strategies
About You
We are looking for a motivated and commercially minded legal professional ready to step into a leadership role.
Essential Requirements
* Unrestricted practising certificate in Victoria (mandatory)
* Strong experience in one or more areas: criminal, family, litigation, or property law
* Proven ability to manage legal matters independently
* Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
