About the role
The Grand Hotel Labrador is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this full-time role you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service and a seamless dining experience for our customers.
What you'll be doing
* Managing and coordinating the restaurant team, including waitstaff, bartenders
* Fast paced very busy restaurant
* Ensuring efficient table management, seating arrangements and flow of service
* Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation in the dining area
* Handling customer inquiries, feedback and complaints in a professional and courteous manner
* Assisting with inventory management, ordering and stock control
* Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure timely and consistent meal preparation
* Providing training and development opportunities for the restaurant team
* Adhering to all health, safety and licensing regulations
What we're looking for
* Experience in a similar restaurant Manager role
* Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
* Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities
* Proficient in using restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems
* Thorough understanding of food and beverage operations.
* Knowledge of relevant health, safety and licensing regulations in the hospitality industry
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
