Here's where you come in
As our Maintenance Storeperson, you will be joining a passionate Engineering & Maintenance team working within a fast-paced pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will be supported every step of the way as part of a high achieving team.
The Maintenance Storeperson position is responsible for the effective operation of the Engineering Store, including sourcing, storing, and issuing spare parts and consumables. The role supports maintenance activities by ensuring materials are accurately controlled, readily available, and allocated to work orders to minimise downtime and support plant reliability.
Your responsibilities, at a glance:
* Ensure availability of spare parts for maintenance activities by managing inventory levels and working closely with the Engineering team to support planned and breakdown maintenance.
* Maintain accurate control of the Engineering Store inventory, including stock levels, critical spares, and traceability of parts and consumables.
* Source parts and services for the Engineering function in a timely and cost-effective manner.
* Support spare parts strategy for equipment by working with the Engineering team to define, review, and optimise spare parts holdings.
* Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities related to parts, services, and inventory management where appropriate.
* Maintain Engineering Store organisation and cleanliness in a cGMP environment, ensuring materials are segregated, labelled, and stored correctly.
* Ensure Engineering Store practices comply with cGMP expectations and site SOPs.
* Maintain records for product-contact equipment, including certificates, documentation, and compliance records.
* Receipt and process goods and services, ensuring accuracy, condition, and correct system entry.
* Work with vendors to manage consumable stock and availability for the Engineering Store.
* Set up new vendors and support Procurement with service contracts as required.
* Undertake other duties as reasonably required for the position and providing backup to other departments such as Warehouse in times of need (as required).

Your experience to date will include:
* Knowledge of computer inventory systems and Microsoft Office suite experience.
* Experience working in a maintenance / manufacturing / workshop environment.
* Previous stocktake and parts recording experience.
* Strong communication skills; Ability to communicate with others across the business.
* Previous experience in researching components and sourcing parts.
* Forklift ticket or willing to get training / ticket.
* Understanding of GMP or previous experience working within a highly regulated environment (desirable)
