Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Pre-Sales Specialist – Enterprise Networking & Surveillance located in Sydney, NSW.
In this role, you will work closely with sales, partners, and internal technical teams to support customer engagements across multiple industries. You will be responsible for understanding customer business scenarios and industry requirements, translating them into end-to-end networking and surveillance solutions using TP-Link Omada and VIGI platforms.
Responsibilities include conducting customer and partner discussions, designing tailored solutions, preparing high-level architectures and BOMs, delivering technical and solution presentations, and supporting pre-sales activities throughout the sales cycle. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams to develop repeatable, industry-focused solutions and improve overall customer experience and sales effectiveness.
Qualifications
3–6+ years' experience in pre-sales, solution engineering, technical consulting, or a similar customer-facing technical role
Proven experience supporting enterprise or B2B customer projects, with exposure to real-world deployments rather than lab-only environments
Strong analytical skills to understand customer business scenarios, industry workflows, and technical requirements, and translate them into appropriate solutions
Demonstrated understanding of at least two or more industry environments, such as:
Unified Communications (UC)
MDU / Apartments
Education
Retail / POS
Hospitality or Aged Care
Solid knowledge of enterprise networking, including switching, PoE design, Wi-Fi planning, VLANs, QoS, and multi-site environments
Practical experience with IP surveillance solutions, including camera selection, NVR/VMS concepts, bandwidth and storage planning, and analytics use cases
Proven experience delivering product demonstrations, solution presentations, and technical discussions during pre-sales engagements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving and relationship-building skills
Ability to work collaboratively across sales, product, and technical teams
Relevant qualifications in networking, IT, engineering, or a related field are an advantage
Vendor certifications are beneficial but not mandatory; hands-on project and industry experience is highly valued
