About the Role
An immediate opportunity is available for an experienced Material Planner / Supply Network Planner to join the team on a full‑time casual basis, with the potential to move into a permanent role.
This role is responsible for the planning and management of inventory levels to meet customer service requirements while balancing supply chain efficiencies and working capital targets. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timely availability of materials and finished goods, developing action plans to meet performance and service targets.
What You’ll Do
* Manage end‑to‑end material and supply planning to support production and customer demand
* Be responsible for the ordering process, including converting purchase requisitions to purchase orders, sending POs to vendors, and obtaining confirmations
* Plan, prepare, and be accountable for short‑ to medium‑term production schedules
* Develop and maintain production plans to ensure stock levels are achieved and sales orders are delivered on time and in full
* Authorise and release daily production process orders, ensuring all materials are in place
* Monitor and adjust production schedules in response to unforeseen conditions or escalations
* Play a key role in managing emergent issues impacting schedules and customer commitments
* Work closely with Production and Operations to review schedule adherence, shortages, rework planning, and related activities
* Perform root‑cause and gap analysis with cross‑functional teams and implement solutions
* Maintain accountability for stock levels, service outcomes, and scheduling performance
* Manage and maintain SAP planning tools and cockpits within the call‑off area
What You’ll Need to Be Successful
* Recent and proven experience in a Material Planner or Supply Network Planner role
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in planning roles within a Supply Chain function
* Strong working knowledge of SAP (essential)
* Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline (preferred)
* Advanced MS Office and systems skills
* Strong planning, analytical, and problem‑solving capabilities
* Ability to manage complex issues, tight deadlines, and changing priorities
* Strong business acumen with solid operational insight
* Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across multiple functions and levels
Important Information
* This is a full‑time role only (38 hours per week, Monday to Friday)
* No part‑time work is available
