This role is critical in maintaining the reliability and performance of our fixed plant while driving a strong preventative maintenance culture and continuous improvement mindset.You will report directly to the Quarry Manager and work closely with internal maintenance teams and external contractors to optimise equipment performance and deliver safe, cost-effective outcomes.In Your New Role, You Will:Champion the implementation of a preventative maintenance culture that focuses on asset longevity and reliability.Ensure all fixed plant and equipment are operating safely and well within statutory requirements.Lead and oversee asset management plans, including rebuilds, major inspections, and lifecycle strategies.Manage consumables, with a focus on optimising screen media usage and minimizing unnecessary costs or waste.Ensure critical components and spares are managed effectively to minimise plant downtime.Monitor and action findings from gearbox condition monitoring, with strong focus on timely resolution.Conduct fixed plant health checks using Heidelberg Materials methodologies, ensuring proactive maintenance and compliance.Manage contractor performance, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with service expectations.Track and control repairs & maintenance costs, ensuring conformance with budget targets.Maintain accurate records and ensure scheduled maintenance procedures are followed.Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance planning, plant performance, and safety.Identify and deliver on improvement opportunities related to plant performance, maintenance practices, and commissioning of new equipment.What You'll Bring:Relevant trade qualification (e.g., Fitter, Mechanic, Boilermaker)Demonstrated leadership experience in a fixed plant maintenance environment (quarry, mining, or heavy industry preferred)Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systemsWorking knowledge of SAP CMMS or similar systemsStrong understanding of safety systems, risk management, and Zero Harm principlesWorking at Heights, EWP licence, and manual driver's licenceA proactive, solutions-driven mindset with a passion for troubleshooting and root cause analysisStrong team leadership, planning, and interpersonal skills to engage with both internal teams and external contractorsWhat We Offer:A competitive salary package with fully maintained company vehicleUniforms and full PPE providedOngoing career development with a leading global organisationOpportunity to contribute to a high-performing and safety-focused teamSupportive and inclusive team cultureJob security with a business committed to sustainable growthHeidelberg Materials Australia is an equal opportunity employer.
