About the Position
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow in Statistical Science to join our team at the University of Wollongong.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in statistical science and experience with data fusion, downscaling, and ice-sheet modeling. A PhD in a relevant field is required, and excellent communication skills are essential for collaboration with researchers from diverse backgrounds.
As a Research Fellow, you will work on a major initiative from the Australian Research Council: Securing Antarctica's Environmental Future (SAEF). You will use statistical data science skills to develop and implement regional-climate data fusion, statistical downscaling, ice-sheet model calibration, and studying the effects of present and future climate on biodiversity in Antarctica.
