About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Personal Insurance Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for advising clients on insurance matters, conducting needs assessments, recommending solutions, answering inquiries, making care calls, and processing renewals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Service ongoing client needs by providing expert advice on insurance products, assessing their requirements, and offering tailored solutions
* Sell new policies to existing or new clients, retaining their existing business and expanding our portfolio
* Quote new business through proactive outreach initiatives, introduction letters, and welcoming walk-in clients
* Communicate effectively with underwriters and adjusters to discuss guidelines and policy details
* Prepare accurate documentation for insurers, complete applications for clients, issue insurance certificates, process changes, and review renewals
* Stay up-to-date on underwriting rules and workflow processes to ensure seamless service delivery
* Pursue ongoing training initiatives to enhance knowledge and skills
* Participate in community marketing initiatives to promote our services
* Process Account Receivable activities efficiently and accurately
Requirements:
* Diploma or degree in a related field (required)
* Relevant sales and customer service experience with a proven track record of success
* Able to generate own sales leads and drive business growth
* Familiarity with Epic (an asset) and other industry tools
* Strong customer focus with excellent interpersonal skills
* Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and maintain high productivity levels
* Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
* Ability to pass a thorough background check and credit check
