About the Role
Our Federal Government Client is seeking a Lead Enterprise Architect / Program Architect. This is a long‐term contract role for an initial 36 months with extension options, located at our client's Canberra office (onsite, with potential flexible or remote arrangements subject to approval).
As The Selected Candidate, You Will
* Lead enterprise and business architecture activities to support the organisation's strategic technology direction
* Develop and maintain enterprise architecture models, blueprints, standards, and roadmaps
* Collaborate with business leaders, program managers, and technical teams to translate business requirements into technology solutions
* Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, standards, and security requirements
* Contribute to the development and maintenance of ICT enterprise infrastructure architecture and architectural patterns
* Analyse complex business architecture challenges and develop strategic roadmaps and capability models
* Design and document architecture across business processes, applications, systems, and infrastructure
* Establish and maintain architecture governance frameworks to ensure consistency, compliance, and security
* Identify technology innovation opportunities and support strategic transformation initiatives
* Provide architectural guidance, mentorship, and knowledge sharing across the technology teams
To Be Successful In This Role You Should Have
* Strong experience in enterprise and business architecture within complex ICT environments
* Demonstrated ability to design and deliver enterprise architecture strategies, roadmaps, and governance frameworks
* Experience translating business strategy and operational requirements into technology solutions
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to work across business and technical teams
* Strong experience in business process improvement, requirements management, and strategic planning
* Proven ability to work independently and deliver outcomes in a large‐scale, fast‐paced environment
It Is Desirable If You Have
* Experience working within Federal Government or large public sector organisations
* Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or similar
* Experience supporting cloud, data centre, and hybrid infrastructure architecture environments
* Knowledge of information security principles and compliance requirements
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens with the ability to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1).
