About the role
Job Title: Clinical Applications and Territory Manager
Works closely with and have impact on: Country commercial, sales and marketing, training
Reports to: Managing Director ANZ
Function: Global Commercial
Work Location/Site: Australia, covering designated state as defined by territory
Role Overview
Role responsible for delivering PCIOL, Toric and Monofocal sales within designated territory. Lead the introduction of PCIOL's to the territory including soft and full launch through KOL engagement and surgeon targeted sales execution. Account targeting and clinical lens trials across designated territory.
Duties and Responsibilities
* With Country Leader, develop sales strategy (area, account, product, price, mix) and activate accordingly
* Acquire potential users via sales calls & symposium/RTM. Obtain permission of conducting trials.
* Conduct trials; During trial, learn IOL/patient data application (such as IOL constants & SIA). Monthly review of on-going practice performance with country commercial leadership
* Upon successful trial completion ensure ongoing usage from targeted surgeons
* Maintain & manage long term good relationship with the user, demand generating, patient work-flow planning, ensure on-time delivery, complaint management
* With Country Leader, give feedback into marketing strategy (coverage ratio, share of wallet, appropriate events) and activate accordingly
* Coordinate regional symposium/ meetings together with Country Leader, Marketing Specialist and team
* Participate national/international congress to promote HSO brand and products and to acquire regional sales leads
* Liaise with KOLs and main accounts surgeons to establish the HSO brand
* Support regional HSO distributor for cases which enhance sales of all HSO products after discussing with Country Leader
* Sales budget and expense budget planning for annual, quarter, monthly
* Timely and accurate submission of expenses within deadlines
* Manage all consignments monthly including reconciliation of back up lenses (when deployed) to ensure organisational and MTAA code compliance
* Always act within relevant code compliance and HOYA compliance framework

Requirements
Experience
* Proven sales success across multiple years and multiple roles
* Must have Ophthalmology or Optometry commercial sales experience 3+ years
* Prior medical device or pharmaceutical sales experience 5+ years
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Good knowledge of ophthalmology surgical hospital business practice and IOL management, utilization and demand
* Strong organization and administrative skills with attention to detail
* High degree of professionalism and integrity is essential
* Ability to demonstrate initiative and leadership
* Ability to persuade and influence others
Skills/Accreditations
* MTAA/ MA (Medical Technology Accreditation Australia / Medicine Australia) accredited
* Territory management including understanding of SFE measures and documentation
* MS Word, Excel, Power point etc. proficient
* Valid Australian driver's license must be maintained at all times of employment
Academic Qualifications
* Degree qualification preferred or Optical dispensing qualifications
Travel requirements
* 15% regional and national travel within Australia
