About the Role
A leading Brisbane‑based coffee roasting and production business is seeking a hands‑on Production Manager to oversee end‑to‑end manufacturing, roasting and dispatch operations. You'll report to the General Manager and lead a small team (warehouse & roasting) to deliver high‑quality product, on‑time in full.
Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain daily and long‑term production schedules to meet demand
* Lead hands‑on roasting, packing and dispatch activities to ensure DIFOT targets
* Monitor and uphold QA and SQF standards, managing maintenance and cleaning protocols
* Identify and implement continuous‑improvement initiatives to boost yield and reduce costs
* Recruit, train and mentor a 3‑person warehouse and roasting team in best‑practice processes
* Liaise with Sales and Purchasing on demand planning, stock levels and performance reporting
What We're Looking For
* Tertiary qualification in Production/Operations Management, Food Technology or similar
* Minimum 5years' senior production management experience in food, beverage or manufacturing, with demonstrable coffee‑production experience
* Proven ability to lead small teams, implement systems and drive continuous improvement
* Strong planning, forecasting and ERP/inventory‑software skills (Katana experience a plus)
* Current forklift licence and experience in certified (SQF/GMP) environments
