Reporting to the Head of Group Operational Risk, you will join a team of experts committed to delivering stronger, more balanced risk outcomes. Your Impact: Driving Excellence in Risk Management
As a Senior Manager, Group Operational Risk, you will be a subject matter expert and a key driver of our function's success. You will:
* Enhance the Framework
* Provide Expert Oversight & Challenge
* Uplift Risk Capability: Champion risk management excellence across the business.
* Leverage Data for Insights: Utilise our risk systems and data to generate meaningful, data-driven insights that inform effective oversight and challenge, helping the business make better risk-based decisions.
* Support Strategic Initiatives: Work closely with the Head of Group Operational Risk to execute the strategic vision for the function and provide critical risk expertise and oversight on key projects and change initiatives.
Position description: Senior Manager Group Operational Risk Position
This is a permanent position based out of our Melbourne, Bendigo, Adelaide or Sydney offices.

What you'll bring to the role
To thrive in this role, you are an accomplished risk professional with a passion for your field and a proactive, curious mindset. We are looking for:
* Deep Operational Risk Expertise: Extensive experience in operational and non-financial risk management within the banking and finance industry, with deep knowledge of risk management frameworks, RCSA, incident management, and issue management.
* Proven 2LoD Experience: A strong track record of success in a second-line-of-defence risk function, with demonstrated ability to provide effective oversight and challenge.
* Analytical & Inquisitive Mindset: A naturally curious and analytical approach, with the ability to synthesise complex information into clear, actionable insights. You strive to understand the "why" and drive for better outcomes.
* Influential Stakeholder Engagement: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and explain complex risk concepts in a clear and concise manner.
* Initiative & Change Acumen: A proactive and forward-thinking attitude, with experience in managing change and a commitment to continuous improvement and learning.
