Fresh Meats is a dynamic, fast-growing and family-owned business based on the Sunshine Coast and servicing customers throughout Queensland. We are looking for a self-motivated accounts team member who has a strong understanding of Australian accounting practices, excellent attention to detail and a CAN-DO attitude This person is also comfortable in a manufacturing setting (production factory floors, cold rooms, etc.)
Accounting Responsibilities
* Payroll and expense approvals
* Accounts payable
* Accounts receivable
* Credit applications
* Reconciliation & reporting (BAS, month/yearend)
* Fixed asset register
* Records of financial documents
* Yield & margin management reporting & analysis
HR & Administrative Support
* Onboarding/offboarding through automated processes
* Collaboration with HR/RRTWC for Workcover
* Documentation with Payroll/HR
* General office upkeep, coordinating with service providers
* Other admin support as needed
Key Requirements:
* Qualifications and working knowledge of Accounting practices
* Understanding of Australian pay and tax requirements
* Proficiency with Xero, Excel
* Excellent attention to detail, initiative and problem-solving skills
* Comfort level in factory/manufacturing setting
* Effective communication with other department members, including overseas
