The JBS Beef City Feedlot is located in the prime grain and cattle producing region of the Darling Downs, 35km west of Toowoomba. It has a strong reputation for producing high-quality grain-fed beef and employs approximately 50 team members.

About the Role
This full-time role will support both the Beef City Feedlot and Mungindi Feedlot teams regarding all safety matters. As a Safety Advisor, you will lead the planning and day-to-day delivery of workplace health and safety training and compliance.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Ensuring the effective implementation and maintenance of the JBS Safety Management System (SMS)
* Regularly reviewing site WHS programs to improve WHS performance
* Leading the control of identified hazards
* Providing assistance and guidance in the investigation of incidents
* Leading safety inspection processes
* Mentoring and coaching team members to establish a sustained safety culture
* Establishing WHS Committees and ensuring ongoing consultation and communication with the team
* Supporting operational management by ensuring all safety requirements are adhered to
* Supporting operational teams and administering the site usage of electronic WHS systems
* Maintaining site emergency procedures and ensure emergency preparedness is appropriate
* Completing site WHS reporting as required
About You
We are seeking an experienced individual with a proven track record in interpreting and applying WHS/OHS legislation. Your qualifications should include a Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety. Experience working in intensive rural and farming backgrounds is desirable.
