Position Overview
Ongoing, Full‐time teaching and research role at Edith Cowan University. Salary: R$117,905 to $139,307 Australian dollars per annum (ALEV B) plus 17 % superannuation. Location: City Campus.
About the Opportunity
As part of the Creative Humanities team, you will help shape our innovative Visual Arts programs in purpose‐built studios that extend into the city. Your work will immerse students in hands‐on exploration across diverse techniques, materials and media while actively engaging diverse communities. You will collaborate with colleagues from Visual Arts, Design, Creative Writing, Communication, Journalism, Media and Screen Production and collaborate with Perth's cultural sector and ECU's own Arts, Culture and Collections.
About You
To be considered you must hold a PhD in Visual Arts or an aligned discipline, or be within 6 months of completing one. Demonstrate past achievement and potential for future development that shows you can:
* Teach effectively using student‐centred approaches across common visual arts techniques and media.
* Conduct high‐quality creative research with public outcomes and impact.
* Forge partnerships with the arts sector and community to advance teaching and research.
* Develop and implement innovative teaching methods for studio and external spaces.
* Exercise leadership consistent with your level of appointment.
* Work productively and positively with colleagues in the school and university.
It Is Desirable That You Have
* Skills to teach printmaking.
* Experience working in research teams.
