About the Team

The Finance and Governance Unit provides the overall financial, facilities and governance support for the organisation and the Facilities team's goal is to ensure safe, functional, and well-presented corporate and guest spaces that consistently meet the highest standards.

About the Role

Scheduled to commence in early February 2026 to allow for a handover with the current incumbent, the key responsibilities include:

Providing a safe working environment for all staff (paid and voluntary), contractors and guests

Routine and Reactive Works

Conduct inspections, cleaning, gardening, patching and painting, minor repairs, and basic plumbing and electrical tasks (not requiring a license)

Associated work updates and reporting requirements in the MyBuildings CMMS platform

Test and Tag checks

Facility Presentation

Ensure all facilities consistently present to an exceptional standard for staff, guests, and stakeholders.

Contractor Oversight

Supervise building maintenance contractors, including conducting site inductions, reviewing safety documentation and monitoring task performance.

Additional Duties

Undertake other tasks as required to support the warehousing and buildings unit

Skills and Experiences:

About You

Experience in a similar role (a building trade is ideal but not essential)

Ability to complete and coordinate reactive tasks, including contractors whilst maintaining the schedule for programmed works

High-level interpersonal communication skills to communicate with employees, management, guests and contractors through email, phone, text and in person

Ability to perform building maintenance tasks to high quality standards

IT skills including use of email, CMMS applications, etc

Test and Tag qualifications or willingness to undertake training to achieve

The role is being offered as fulltime Monday to Friday with occasional out of hours work maybe required.

Special conditions

The successful applicant

must be a non-smoker

will be required to undertake a medical assessment, and appointment will be subject to a satisfactory police check

be willing to undertake vaccinations as determined by risk assessment

hold a current SA driver's licence

The role is being offered as a permanent full-time role.
