Sous Chef Role Overview
We are seeking an ambitious Sous Chef to join our team in a gastro pub in Esperance. This full-time permanent role is perfect for a skilled Chef who wants to be part of a happy close-knit team, working alongside an experienced Head chef in a new kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with the Head Chef to deliver excellent meals consistently
* Lead the kitchen team in the absence of the Head chef to ensure a smooth service
* Mentor and support other kitchen staff to promote a positive team culture
* Assist in developing new menu options based on seasonal changes and customer demand
* Provide a consistent high-quality food service using locally sourced fresh produce
Requirements:
* 3 years + experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
* Relevant cookery qualifications
* Proven leadership skills within a commercial kitchen setting
* Excellent communication skills
