To support a rapidly expanding business, we are seeking a Finance Manager with demonstrated experience in financial operations. You will have responsibility for significant interactions across the organisation, and will be a trusted advisor to the ADT Leadership team and Managing Director. This position is permanent and based in Fyshwick, Canberra.

Key Responsibilities
The Finance Manager will play a vital role in providing financial services across the organisation and will be responsible for:

Financial Management & Reporting

- Manage purchasing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions, including quality assurance, invoice preparation, payment processing, and matching payments to invoices.
- Prepare journals and reconciliations as required.
- Prepare and deliver accurate periodic and ad-hoc financial reports, including support for year-end financial statements.
- Provide financial information and reports to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure timely delivery of management reports.

Key Responsibilities
The Finance Manager will play a vital role in providing financial services across the organisation and will be responsible for:

Financial Management & Reporting

- Manage purchasing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions, including quality assurance, invoice preparation, payment processing, and matching payments to invoices.
- Prepare journals and reconciliations as required.
- Prepare and deliver accurate periodic and ad-hoc financial reports, including support for year-end financial statements.
- Provide financial information and reports to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure timely delivery of management reports.

Budgeting & Strategic Financial Advice

- Develop and coordinate annual operating, capital, and program budgets, including reporting and resource allocation.
- Provide specialist and strategic advice to the Managing Director and ADT Executive Team on financial risks, performance, and complex financial management issues.
- Support the development of project tenders.
- Deliver effective financial processes, programs, and policies aligned with strategic outcomes, including development and monitoring of KPIs.

Payroll & Compliance

- Manage and oversee payroll functions, including processing salaries, and finalising employee departures.
- Maintain financial, accounting, administrative, and personnel services to meet legislative requirements.
- Collate information on market salaries to inform performance management reviews, including salary reviews.

Financial Analysis & Systems

- Conduct financial modelling (e.g., sales projections, break-even analysis, cash flow analysis).
- Analyse pricing and product/service decisions, including actual costings and G&A costs.
- Maintain and refine internal accounting systems, based on the organisations ERP system.

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

- Maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead a culture of innovation to support organisational growth and maturity.

Perform other business service functions and ad hoc duties as reasonably required.

To be successful you will need

- Awareness of complex corporate structure.
- Demonstrated ability to manage purchasing and accounts payable functions;
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of GST;
- Demonstrated ability and experience in financial reporting and the provision of relevant information to stakeholders;
- Demonstrated experience with financial management systems, including Xero and Dynamics 365;
- Ability to work independently and with initiative to deliver quality outcomes against established priorities, practices and methodologies.
- Confidence to make decisions, with direction from more senior staff, on tasks assignments with considerable complexity and sensitivity.
- Ability to make decisions using good judgement, expertise and knowledge, ensuring that decisions are governed by the application of best practice principles and the organisation's operating instructions and procedures.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with a range of audiences, including at the Executive level.
- Self-management skills to plan own work tasks and priorities that align with your and the organisation's priorities.
- Experience using Microsoft Suite of products, including MS Teams, Excel, and other Office 365 applications.
- Awareness of the digital environment and an understanding of how to engage with clients in a digital first manner.
- To efficiently use digital workplace tools to solve problems, be productive, connect and collaborate with others.
