JOB DESCRIPTIONRemarkable people, trusted by clients to design and advance the world.Wood is currently recruiting a Site Supervisor at the Otway Gas Plant near Port Campbell starting as soon as possible.This role is responsible for providing leadership and organizing work crews to safely execute planned maintenance activities in accordance with Wood and Client Maintenance processes and procedures.You will provide general supervision within a live plant environment to a multi-discipline workforce, delivering safe and efficient general plant maintenance and small field-managed modifications.RESPONSIBILITIESSupervise small-to-medium sized, multi-skilled mechanical & electrical crews across multiple work assignments and locations.Execute approved work orders using relevant client work procedures and permitting requirements.Instruct the work crew on job scope, monitor work methods, output, punctuality, and job progress.Implement and maintain a safe working environment, adhering to correct work practices and procedures.Manage base discipline site activities, ensuring safe and efficient task execution.Plan and organize work activities aligned with project schedules, ensuring availability of information, materials, tools, and equipment to minimize disruptions.Accurately report site progress, capturing direct and non-productive man-hours.Identify opportunities and issues in a timely manner.Create necessary permits and risk assessments for work activities.Participate in daily operations meetings with the client regarding maintenance, operations, projects, and shutdowns, communicating schedules and tasks to the workforce.Lead daily toolbox talks with site labor at the start of each day.Monitor work orders against planning and labor expenditure against work order allocation.Ensure timesheets are accurately recorded and employees are allocated to correct tasks, jobs, and projects.Verify that materials, tools, and equipment are fit for purpose, checked, and certified prior to use.Promote excellence in HS&E by coordinating onsite safety programs in line with Wood and client policies.QUALIFICATIONSWhat makes you remarkable?Expected qualifications include:Previous experience working with heavy equipment.Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Site Supervisor in the Oil & Gas Industry.Onshore and Offshore qualifications.Shutdown supervisory/leadership qualifications.Ability to work independently with good initiative and interpersonal skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel for administrative tasks.Strong influencing skills.Ability to interface effectively with clients to understand requirements.Capability to provide technical insights and advice across project areas.Candidates must have full work rights in Australia to be considered.If you're a Site Supervisor ready for your next project, we are keen to hear from you.
