The Role:
We are seeking a flexible team player to provide support to the business with specific responsibility for web and internal application development, with a willingness to support the IT team with the Institute's systems at both a strategic and day-to-day level.
The successful applicant must possess an enthusiastic and solutions-focused attitude, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels. Strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise tasks, and a keen eye for detail are essential.
This role is primarily onsite at our Floreat premises, where close collaboration, rapid problem-solving, and hands-on engagement with our systems are critical. Due to the nature of our infrastructure and the need for seamless team interaction, this position is not suitable for remote or overseas-based arrangements.
Key duties of the role include:
* Designing, developing, and maintaining websites and web applications for the use of the Institute and external clients
* Designing, developing and maintaining internal and external IIS web environments and deployment tools
* Project managing and/or assisting in the implementation and development of websites, web applications, and other related systems
* Troubleshooting and resolving website and web application issues
* Contributing to website and web application architecture and technical decisions
* Taking a lead role in maintenance, troubleshooting, and development of internal AIM WA websites, web applications, and related systems, and enhancing these systems or developing/proposing alternatives
What We're Looking For:
* The ability and commitment to work onsite at AIM WA's Floreat premises as part of an integrated, in-person team
* 2+ years' experience in a similar role or a relevant bachelor's degree
* The ability to work autonomously, positively and productively in a pressurised environment and as a member of a team
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and an aptitude to learn new skills and technologies
* Experience with C#, ASP.NET Framework & ASP.NET Core website development
* Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or similar relational databases
* Experience developing for Umbraco or similar content management systems
* Experience with Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD and collaboration tools
* Experience with Git
* General knowledge of high-level networking and security concepts, e.g. DNS, certificates
