Role
Your new role as a workshop Boilermaker will report to the Workshop Supervisor in a permanent full time residential position based in Kalgoorlie.
Location & Schedule
Location: Kalgoorlie – must be residential or willing to relocate with own housing
Roster: 8 days on, 6 off – 10.5 hrs each day (including 30 minutes meal break)
Responsibilities
* Fabricate and repair structural steel and equipment components in line with customers and WesTrac's specification.
* Read and interpret schematics and specifications accurately, source technical information through reference manuals, technical bulletins and internal based systems.
* Manage and advise appropriate tooling fit for service.
* Maintain and keep a clean and safe working environment.
* Be a dynamic team player with a high commitment to working safety.
* Liaise with various site/local clients on their requirements in an effective manner.
Skills & Experience
* Australian recognised Boilermaker or Fabrication Trade Certificate (essential)
* Heavy-Rigid Licence (essential)
* Proficiency in MIG, TIG and Arc welding techniques
* Experience working on large mining machinery or heavy fabrication.
