We're a Canberra‐based accounting and financial consulting firm working with a diverse mix of domestic and international clients. Our work spans tax, financial consulting and business advisory, and we genuinely go beyond the typical firm. We run large‐scale events (5,000+ attendees on the Gold Coast), work with clients across borders, and are actively pushing into AI‐integrated workflows to keep our team ahead of the curve. Travel opportunities, domestic and international, come with the role.
We're also a consciously run business. We proudly founded Aid Meridian (aidmeridian.org), an Australian registered charity fighting human trafficking in South‐East Asia through rescue operations, repatriation and survivor support programs. It's one small example of how we try to use our success for something bigger.
THE ROLE
This is a hands‐on junior accounting role for someone who wants broad exposure early. You'll work across client accounts, tax and financial reporting, supported by senior team members and given real responsibility from day one.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
* Prepare financial statements, tax returns and BAS lodgements for a varied client base
* Process accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations and journal entries
* Support month‐end and year‐end close processes
* Work with our international clients and assist with cross‐border financial matters
* Use and help develop our AI‐integrated accounting workflows
* Support financial operations for large‐scale events
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
* Completing or recently completed a Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
* Strong attention to detail and a genuine curiosity about the work
* Comfortable in Excel; Xero or MYOB experience is a plus
* Open to occasional domestic and international travel
* Full working rights in Australia (no sponsorship available)
