Electronics Assembly Technician
Performs the set-up, calibration, and testing of electronic circuits, components, instruments, and assemblies.
* Works from diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or defined plans to test, diagnose, and troubleshoot assemblies and/or final systems.
* Uses manufacturing, test, development, or diagnostic equipment, including digital multimeters, signal generators, and specialized test apparatus in diagnostics and testing of assemblies.
* Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safety and Compliance
* Ensures compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
* Quality Focus
* Conducts visual inspection of components after assembly or test.
* Test and Troubleshooting
* Performs self-inspection of work completed after moving to the next step.
* Assists in root cause analysis of product failure modes.
Requirements:
* Education and Experience
* An Associate's degree in Electronic Technology or equivalent experience is preferred.
* Skills and Qualifications
* Demonstrated knowledge of basic electronics theory.
* Able to navigate through computer and test software.
* Ability to identify electronic components, their function, and proper placement on a PCB.
* Experience with Test equipment, including DMM (Digital Multi Meter) and oscilloscope.
* Familiarity with 6S and process improvement principles.
* Physical Demands
* Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform general physical activities.
