Environmental Consultant – Contaminated Land Assessment & Management. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys combining technical leadership, client engagement and project delivery while helping to grow a high‐quality environmental consulting practice. In this Melbourne‐based role, your key responsibilities will include the following.
Responsibilities
* Develop strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
* Lead and manage contaminated land site assessments and remediation projects.
* Oversee field investigations, sampling, and data interpretation to prepare risk‐based assessments in accordance with relevant legislation and guidelines.
* Develop and guide clients to implement cost‐effective remediation strategies to mitigate risks posed by contamination.
* Prepare high‐quality technical reports and specifications for clients and stakeholders.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to peers, fostering a collaborative and high‐performance work environment.
* Deliver projects to meet timelines, budgetary requirements, and quality standards.
Qualifications
* Qualifications from a recognised tertiary institution in earth science, geology, environmental science or engineering, and working toward or attained relevant professional industry certification.
* Experience in environmental consulting, specifically contaminated land assessment and remediation, with working knowledge of relevant environmental regulations, industry standards and best practices relating to the assessment and management of contaminated land.
* Familiarity with Victorian contaminated land regulatory framework and guidelines is highly desirable.
* In‐depth experience completing site investigations and familiarity with a range of remediation technologies.
* Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
* Ability to gain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and hold Australian citizenship would be advantageous.
