About the Opportunity
The Training and Development Officer supports the Learning and Development Team to deliver regular training and assess the learning needs of employees in line with the MSC's strategic direction.
The role develops training modules and coordinates the delivery of induction and other learning and development programs, including the coordination of internships and work placements programs.
The Training Officer ensures all relevant stakeholders are engaged and consulted on the development of training programs and initiatives.
This is a fixed-term position. We welcome applications from candidates seeking either full-time or part-time opportunities.

Duties Include but are not limited to
Training Coordination
Assist with conducting training needs analysis to identify employee training and development needs.
Consult and work collaboratively with Managers to develop training plans and other learning and development programs aligned with capability frameworks and MSC needs.
Deliver the Induction Program and other in-house training on a regular basis.
Work collaboratively with internal and external training providers.
Develop the annual training calendar in line with the MSC Learning and Development Plan.
Assist in the development and review of relevant policies and procedures in accordance with Industrial Awards and Agreements and legislation.
Monitor and maintain accurate training and development records and evaluate learning effectiveness.
Ensure currency of learning modules and programs to meet the needs of the MSC.
Assist in the development of Learning and Development related initiatives and projects.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
Coordinate Internships and Work Placements
Conduct candidate screening and coordinate onboarding processes.
Track candidate progress throughout placement, ensure compliance with internship requirements, and support successful completion.
Coordinate with RTOs, and colleges to source suitable candidates.
Selection Criteria
Essential Criteria
Demonstrated experience with a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, delivering training and development programs preferably in aged care and disability services settings.
Has a strong understanding of adult learning principles and competency-based training.
Ability to adapt training methods to facilitate different learning styles and the needs of culturally diverse employees.
Proven ability to prioritise, monitor and coordinate competing workload requirements.
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills and engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
Good knowledge of the multicultural and community service sector.
Commitment to providing quality customer focused services
Fluency in a language other than English
Experience working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) backgrounds.
Pre-requisites
Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
National Police Certificate/NDIS Clearance Certificate
Right to work in Australia
