Heart-Led Support is seeking a compassionate and reliable Female Disability Support Worker to join our growing team supporting participants in the South Brisbane region.
This role is ideal for someone who is values-driven, person-centred, and passionate about supporting people to live meaningful, independent lives.
About the Role
You will be providing 1:1 support to female participants with varying support needs, including community access and in-home support. Shifts may include weekdays, afternoons, and weekends depending on participant requirements.
Due to participant privacy, dignity, and personal care needs, this role requires a female support worker.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing person-centred disability support
* Assisting with daily living tasks and personal care (where required)
* Supporting community access, appointments, and social engagement
* Encouraging independence, choice, and skill development
* Following individual support plans and organisational policies
* Completing shift notes and basic documentation
Essential Requirements
* Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Mental Health, or similar (NOT essential but highly regarded)
* Previous experience in disability or mental health support preferred
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Current First Aid & CPR
* Reliable vehicle and valid driver's licence
* Strong communication skills and a professional, respectful approach
Desirable
* Experience with complex behaviours or psychosocial disability
* Availability for consistent ongoing shifts
* Confidence working independently and as part of a team
