About the Opportunity
Journey Beyond is currently seeking experienced and passionate coach drivers to join our Alice Springs team. These positions are central to ensuring a high level of service delivery for guests during our off-train excursions. Coach drivers will be responsible for the complete operation and safety of the coach. You will be a confident individual with excellent communication skills to actively engage with our guests, ensuring an excellent guest experience. Alongside experience in the tourism and/or transport industry, you will also have a passion for Alice Springs and its attractions.
Requirements
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Deliver high standard of customer service to all passengers / customers, creating a positive experience on every service
- Provide on-board commentary throughout the tour
- Comply with company and department safety policies & procedures
- Consistently ensure the safety of yourself, your passengers, and your vehicle
- Provide interactive and engaging day tours for guests
In addition, we expect you to be able to manage your time well and conduct pre-departure safety checks.
About You
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Minimum MR license. HR drivers' licence preferred.
- Driver Accreditation
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate (or ability to obtain one)
- Working with children accreditation
- Satisfactory national criminal history check
- Demonstrated coach driving experience
- An outstanding safety focus, including basic fatigue management competency and a commitment to your own fitness for duty
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Ability to clean facilities to ensure customer satisfaction
- Exceptional personal presentation and 'can do' attitude

Approx work hours available 30 to 35 per week
Sunday: 10am – 10:00pmwith 1.5-hour break
Monday: 11am – 6:00pmwith 30 min break
Thursday: 8am – 10pmwith 1.5-hour break
