About the Opportunity The Senior Work Order Coordinator is responsible for the end-to end coordination and governance of work order creation. The role provides leadership and assurance to a team of trade specific work order coordinators and ensures work orders are planned, scheduled and issued in alignment with the production schedule, cost, safety and quality. What’s Involved Lead and manage a team of work order coordinators across multiple trades. Oversee the creation, validation, and closure of work orders ensuring compliance with engineering, quality, and production standards. Ensure work orders are production-ready, including all required materials and documentation. Act as the primary interface between Engineering, Planning, Production, Supply Chain, and Quality to coordinate and release accurate work packages. Manage work order cost control, change management, and progress reporting. Mentor team members, set performance expectations, and drive a high-performance, collaborative team culture. Identify and resolve complex planning and execution issues related to scope, schedule, cost, and quality. Facilitate structured feedback loops with production teams to embed continuous improvement and lessons learned. You’ll Need Essential Effective communications skills, and Competency in Microsoft office, design software and ERP. Relevant trade qualification Desirable Experience with use of Primavera Formal Planning/Scheduling training 5 Years’ experience in a Planning role in Shipbuilding, complex manufacturing or construction.
