Coffee and Flour is a locally owned and operated café located in the vibrant heart of Bunbury, proudly serving our community seven days a week.
We are known for our artisanal breads and hence the reason we are actively seeking a highly qualified baker who understands the process of creating bread from scratch.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee Bakehouse Operations: Lead all kitchen activities, ensuring professionalism, efficiency, and adherence to health and safety standards.
Stock Management: Manage ordering and inventory control to ensure optimal stock levels of high-quality ingredients, minimizing waste while maximizing freshness.
Staff Development: Train and mentor staff, bakehouse including apprentices, fostering a culture of skill development and culinary excellence.
Cost Management: Monitor food and Labor costs to achieve financial targets while maintaining high culinary standards.
Bakehouse Organisation: Ensure cleanliness and organisation in all bakehouse and storage areas, complying with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards.
Team Collaboration: Promote a positive team environment that encourages open communication, feedback, and continuous improvement in kitchen operations.
Qualifications
At least 1-2 years of experience in a comparable position.
Strong knowledge and abilities in making artisan sour doughs.
Outstanding leadership abilities, demonstrated by a history of inspiring and nurturing team members.
A dependable, honest, and diligent work ethic, complemented by a friendly and approachable personality.
