Are you an IT and systems guru with a passion for streamlining and optimising? Do you get a kick out of turning messy data and clunky processes into a well-oiled machine?
We're Carbon Offroad, an creative Australian winch and recovery brand. Our business is built around a love for the outdoors, and while a passion for off-roading is a bonus, what we truly value is a shared drive for excellence and a collaborative, can-do attitude. We're on a rapid growth trajectory and need a dedicated IT and eCommerce Lead to take full ownership of our operational technology stack.
This isn't just about fixing a broken printer; it's about being the strategic brain behind our digital systems. You'll be the go-to person for everything from our Shopify store to our backend automations and IT infrastructure.
A Day in the Life
As our IT & eCommerce Lead, you'll be the owner of our entire operational technology stack. This is a hands-on role where you'll get to design, build, and manage the systems that connect our entire business.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Cybersecurity & IT: Maintain our security protocols, manage user access, and ensure our critical data is backed up and safe.
- eCommerce Systems: Administer our Shopify store, manage product catalogues, and ensure our pricing and listings are accurate across all channels, including Amazon.
- Integrations & Automation: Build and maintain automations using tools like Shopify Flow or Zapier to ensure smooth order flows and reduce manual handling.
- Data Management: Set the standards for our product data and track key metrics to help the business make smarter, data-driven decisions.
- Internal Support: Provide day-to-day IT support to our team, from setting up new starters to troubleshooting core applications.
What We're Looking For
You're a practical, solution-oriented professional with a strong bias for simplicity and reliability over fragile complexity. You'll have:
- 5+ years of experience in business systems, eCommerce operations, or IT administration, ideally within a product-based business.
- Proven experience with Shopify administration and marketplace management.
- Competence with integrations and API-based tools. You love finding ways to automate manual tasks.
- Strong documentation habits and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical teams.
- A practical security mindset.
- Tools you will use: Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, Google Workspace, Trello, Zendesk & Podium, Make or Zapier. Any experience with basic SQL or Python is a plus.
Why Join Carbon Offroad?
You'll be a key part of an energetic and passionate team that values innovation and collaboration. This is a chance to have a huge impact on a growing business and shape our digital future from the ground up.
