Established in 2016, Gold Coast Private Hospital is a state-of-the-art, 339-bed facility located in Southport.
With 22 operating theatres, we offer a wide range of specialties including Emergency Care, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT, General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care, and Oncology.

Responsibilities
As an Infection Control Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
* Leading Infection Prevention & Control practices and strategies.
* Assuming accountability for your portfolios under the guidance of the Quality and Risk Manager.
* Working effectively within a multidisciplinary team including doctors, managers, and community members.
* Implementing risk management strategies to protect patients, staff, and visitors.
* Ensuring compliance with standards and regulations, and striving for continuous improvement.
* Coordinating infection control programs, including staff health initiatives.
* Overseeing antimicrobial stewardship and hand hygiene training programs.
Essential Criteria
* Authority to work in Australia.
* Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent.
* Current registration with AHPRA.
* Immunisation certification or working towards it.
* At least 3 years of post-graduation experience as an IPC Coordinator, Public Health, or Clinical Nurse in Infection Prevention and Control.
* Ability to negotiate, resolve conflicts, and manage sensitive issues.
* Knowledge of Infection Prevention & Control standards and outbreak management.
* Ability to use audits for improvement and education.
* Understanding of ACQSHC National standards, especially Standards 2 & 3.
* Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive, inclusive approach.
* Willingness to attend regular visits to the satellite facility in Tweed, NSW.
