About the Role
As a Mower and Brush cutter Team Leader, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing green spaces across our various council-controlled roadsides in Ipswich
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a keen eye for detail, and takes pride in their work.
Hourly rates are above award and dependent on experience.
* Operate various mowing equipment safely and efficiently.
* Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment.
* Ensure lawns and green spaces are mowed to a high standard.
* Assist with other grounds keeping tasks as needed.
* Adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
* Lead and direct a team of maintenance staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
* Follow schedules and prioritise tasks to ensure timely completion
* Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to the team to enhance their horticultural skills and safety practices.

About You
* Minimum 3 years experience in roadside brushcutting & mowing
* Valid Drivers Licence
* White Card
* ACDC licence highly regarded
* MR/HR licence highly regarded
* Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
* Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and the sun
* Strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks efficiently and to the highest standards
