This is a Coordinator role situated within the Pilbara region, focusing on creating and implementing the Kanyjaru Ngarnarna Wapa initiative in Port Hedland. The position aims to provide support to women and children, promoting their safety and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
* To lead the development and implementation of the new initiative, working closely with stakeholders including the Hedland Aboriginal Strong Leaders Collective and Julyardi Aboriginal Corporation.
* To create and implement programs that address the needs of women and children, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
* To establish and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders, promoting effective communication and partnership building.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Aboriginal culture and values, as well as relevant qualifications and experience in human services or social work. A knowledge of family and domestic violence frameworks and practice is also essential.
