Foreperson
Randstad are proud to partner with the leading provider of construction and strategic building maintenance services for the Queensland Government. We have an immediate need for an Site Foreman based in the Nerang office.
We are actively seeking a highly qualified and experienced Foreperson to join our client's team. This is a crucial role, and we are prioritizing a swift and efficient hiring process to fill this position immediately. We are committed to finding the best candidate to lead and manage our construction projects.
Responsibility
What will you be responsible for:Managing and coordinating physical, financial, and human resources on major projects. Ensuring quality and cost-effective construction delivery. Conducting site scoping, preparing material lists, and providing timely estimates. Supervising field staff and subcontractors. Maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Specifically the activities will be:Assisting in project planning and delivery. Undertaking Workplace Health and Safety audits. Promoting company values to clients and identifying new business opportunities. Developing and maintaining client relationships. Proactively managing staff performance and conduct.
Experience
What requirements are we looking for?Proven experience in managing and coordinating large-scale construction projects. A strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. Demonstrated ability to supervise and motivate teams. Extensive knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Requirements/Skills
What requirements are we looking for?Proven ability to manage budgets and resources effectively. Experience in preparing accurate material lists and estimates. Knowledge of contract administration. Proficiency in project software and technology. Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
White Card
Hold a Current Builders Supervisors Licence - Highly Regarded
A current Open Class C Driver's Licence (Queensland) or equivalent.
Criminal history check prior to appointment
Current Australian working rights (Evidence will be requested as part of the application process)
It is expected that the successful candidate will possess strong oral/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. They will display initiative, attention to detail, and have the ability to work autonomously and unsupervised whilst contributing to the wider team's objectives of ensuring service delivery exceeds expectations.
