Contribute to a culture of positive organisational engagement and innovation with RSL Queensland
09th January, 2026
RSL Queensland (RSLQ) is the largest ex-service organisation in Queensland – providing practical support, assistance and camaraderie to veterans, current serving Defence members, and their families across the state and nationally.
The Veteran Services department is embedded in the veteran and Defence community, delivering extensive services and support that helps veterans and their families in Queensland and nationally to thrive.
As the Allied Health Receptionist onsite Monday to Friday, your mission is clear - to ensure all clients and visitors enjoy a positive and professional experience as they access the Centre. You are the first and often last point of contact for our visitors, so your outstanding customer service skillset is your superpower.
Reporting to the Allied Health Practice Manager and as a critical member of our Clinical Services team, you'll support the day-to-day running of the front office and reception ensuring safe and compliant practice.
Responsibilities include (though not limited to) appointment calendar management, multi-Centre administrative support, meeting room bookings and coordination, liaising with team members, and full administrative and reception duties.
To submit a competitive application, you'll need:
* 3-4 years' experience in an Allied Health or Medical Receptionist role with the following skills:
* a completed Certificate III in Health Administration or a similar qualification
* sound understanding of allied health services and billing through Medicare and DVA
* intermediate computer skills, including proficiency with the MS Office Suite and practice management systems (e.g. MMex or Best Practice)
* a valid working with children card (or eligible for same)
A completed Certificate IV in Health Administration and exposure to the ADF community, while not mandatory, will certainly make your application even more attractive. Please note: construction of our new Veteran & Family Wellbeing Centre (VFWC) - Ipswich is underway so this position will be temporarily based at Brookwater until mid-year.
This is an exceptional opportunity to make a difference in the veteran community. If this opportunity interests you, we'd love to hear from you by the close date of 9am 27 January 2026.
