About The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Fitter & Turner / Machinist to join a busy manufacturing workshop.
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Operating manual machining equipment including centre lathes, milling, drilling, and slotting machines
- Establishing work procedures and methods for unique projects
- Working autonomously to complete machining and fitting tasks to high standards
- Maintaining high attention to detail in all work performed
- Ensuring safety and quality standards are met at all times
About You
The successful candidate will have:
Experience & Qualifications:
- Trade certificate or equivalent experience as a Fitter and Turner
- Demonstrated experience in manual machining (centre lathes, milling, drilling, slotting)
Skills & Attributes:
- High attention to detail and quality of work
- Willingness to work overtime when required
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills (desirable)
- Experience with basic hydraulics and Mig welding (desirable)
