We are now seeking a talented and motivated Interior Designer to join our growing team.
**The Role**:
As an Interior Designer at PSEC, you will work closely with our architectural and project management teams to design and deliver high-quality interior environments for both residential and commercial developments. You will be involved throughout all project stages, from concept to completion.
- Engage with clients and project stakeholders to understand the purpose, scope, and limitations of each interior design and architectural brief
- Investigate and evaluate spatial layouts, functionality, safety standards, workflow efficiencies, building orientation, and visual impact to inform both architectural planning and interior design direction
- Develop and refine creative design concepts that integrate architectural vision with interior functionality, reflecting project goals and client aspirations
- Produce clear and compelling visual documentation, including hand sketches, diagrams, digital layouts, site plans, and architectural drawings to effectively communicate ideas across disciplines
- Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, authorities, and construction professionals to align design solutions with regulatory requirements, site constraints, and budget expectations
- Curate and recommend materials, finishes, furnishings, fixtures, and architectural elements that meet both structural and aesthetic goals, considering environmental performance, durability, and design cohesion
- Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including DA/CDC submissions, construction drawings, joinery details, material specifications, and finishes schedules in line with building codes and industry standards
- Assist in the coordination of consultant inputs such as structural, civil, and services engineering to ensure seamless integration of architectural and interior solutions
- Participate in contract administration, tender processes, and construction documentation reviews to maintain design integrity through to project completion
- Oversee and coordinate the construction and interior fit-out process, attending site inspections to ensure accurate execution of architectural intent and interior detail, resolving any site-related issues as they arise
**Skilled and experience requirements**:
- Bachelor qualification with a minimum of one years of practical on-the-job training,
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design tools
- Strong understanding of spatial planning, materials, and finishes
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
- Experience in high-end residential or boutique multi-residential projects
- Knowledge of authority submission processes in NSW
- Familiarity with construction documentation and site processes

- Report to the Director
Pay: $78,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
