Salary: AUD90 - AUD100 per hour + Inclusive of Super

Our client, a large federal government department, is seeking an enthusiastic Procurement and Contract Management Officer to assist with day-to-day procurement and contract management processes in accordance with departmental and whole-of-government procurement policies, to support the Procurement & Contracts Team.
Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:
* Monitoring and managing procurement activities, including providing advice and support for basic to complex procurement;
* Assisting in the preparation of procurement approval documentation, such as Approvals to Approach the Market, Evaluation Outcomes, Approvals to commit funds, and entering arrangements;
* Administering tender documentation through AusTender and DTA with strong knowledge;
* Providing high-level customer service to internal clients and stakeholders, engaging agency representatives proactively and seeking feedback;
* Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders and suppliers, effectively managing contract inquiries, issues, disputes, variations, risks, and negotiations as required;
* Managing a range of contracts, maintaining relationships with suppliers and customers;
* Monitoring contracts and managing their extension, renewal, or close-out;
* Problem-solving contract-related issues;
* Preparing and managing government contracts, both simple and complex;
* Preparing and managing Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs).
Skills and Experience
* Four years of experience working within government procurement;
* Thorough understanding of the PGPA Act for complex procurements;
* Experience in complex contract management, with knowledge of CCS;
* Experience providing oversight of public sector procurement activities;
* Ability to analyze suppliers, markets, products, and service categories to inform procurement planning;
* Providing advice on security procurement approaches ('best fit');
* Assisting in the administration of tender evaluation reports for consideration and approval;
* Overseeing contract administration activities and monitoring management plans;
* Ability to work effectively individually or within a team;
* Ability to work with minimal supervision.
